The ProFlow Sump Upgrade is an enhanced version of our original 40oz Micro Reef sump, redesigned with an additional internal baffle to create smoother water movement, improved filtration flow, and a cleaner overall micro reef experience.
In small reef systems, water movement and filtration consistency matter tremendously. The ProFlow design helps guide water more evenly through the sump chambers while reducing excess turbulence and microbubbles before water returns to the display. The result is a more refined, stable, and polished filtration system for your desktop reef.
One of the standout features of the ProFlow design is the closed center chamber area, which can also be utilized as a compact refugium chamber. This space is perfect for macro algae, additional biological media, copepod populations, or other natural filtration methods to further enhance nutrient export and system stability.
